Who We Are

Award winning photographer, Spring Ursula Thomas, works with a Nikon D200 digital camera and is intrigued by people and their relationship of spirit and nature. Published in major international magazines and books, she worked for more than a decade with the International Beauty Show and beauty industry covering events in such places as New York City, Seattle and Boston.

Publications: Cosmopolitan; American Dance Magazine;
American Kennel Club Journal; Seattle Magazine; In Business;
Casa Brutus (Japan's leading architectural publication);
Earthworks; the Seattle Times;
Peace Among People-Seattle & Tashkent, Uzbekistan and
Seattle & Tashkent - Sister Cities

Her fine art images have encompassed international humanitarian and peacekeeping projects, as well as children's art exchanges, between the former Soviet Union and Seattle, Washington in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. She has photographically documented in Moscow, Leningrad, Tashkent and Samarkand Uzbekistan. For these efforts she and her team members were awarded the World Citizen Award in 1989 and she is the recipient of Who's Who of American Women.

“Endless Horizon”, her first Exhibition in New Zealand, took place in April 2008 after a five day Artists in Residency Program at Farewell Spit, Golden Bay, South Island in September 2007. Chosen to have the privilege to be among twelve artists, Spring was enchanted by the unique light, windswept expanses and exceptional new friendships borne of such a sacred, internationally known nature reserve.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She took her first portrait at four years of age and has never had a photography course. A new gallery for her body of work will be opening in late Spring 2008 in Golden Bay. At this time she invites correspondence.
